Hello and wecome to the world of blogging!Beautiful drawings!, I wish I could draw, I never really got past the match stick men stage! My daughter's an artist, she obviously gets that skill from her dad! Rachel
How fantastic are your illustrations... to be honest... I am not a Winnie fan so I will not be dissapointed that he shall not be making an appearance... I am however very impressed with your work and will take great pleasure in pointing your work out to my children at the library... and saying " I know the illustrator" I know I don't really know you but its so cool! ( I will calm down now, honest... ;D)
Hi Rob, thanks for stopping by my blog. My eldest age 6 has read the read iit yourself wizard of oz and i'm sure i recognize loads more of your illustrations. I also have a younger boy so we have read tons of childrens books!!
I was born in Solihull in the West Midlands in 1971 but often feel I might have been born a century too late. I spent much of my young life - and adult life for that matter - daydreaming, my very favourite passtime. This led to reading, writing and drawing voraciously as a youth and eventually to a meeting that changed the course of my life forever. A careers advisor at school pointed out that art in any way, shape or form was not a wise or practical way to earn a living.
I have drawn, written and generally daydreamed ever since that fateful day; not out of belligerence but because it is what I am best suited to and because being a crime-fighting masked avenger was a less practical and more dangerous career option. I have been a professional illustrator since 1994.I am currently working on a young fiction series and several stories for picture books.
I have worked with Disney, Warner Bros, Bloomsbury,Templar, Oxford University Press, Ladybird, Hallmark and many other publishers on a wide variety of illustration and writing assignments.
ah husband...knew you couldn't resist!
